Monday at long last

Today I got the last chemo I should need and it is the strongest you can get I think I believe them because it came in a glass bottle it must be to powerful it would eat through plastic but your body must be as strong as glass.  I still feel fine but was told today the worst effects will come in 2 days that was not from a nurse but a person that had a Bone Morrow Transplant so I think the staff was trying to hide that fact but I have chewed ice all day until my teeth wont stand it any more which is to help prevent mouth sours which happens allot with this part of the treatment.  It looks like everything is in order and I will get my stem cells in the morning even though my blood has not went down that much.  It has started and will continue to drop for a bit.  Tonight Sharen and I had Becky, Paul, Bill and Helen here for a visit and that was nice a night and I continue to feel good we will see in the morning.

I want to thank everyone for there prayers and please continue to help bring me through this.  May God continue to bless us all.

  1. Dear Ralph and Sharen, I didn't know you had a cabin. Where is Six Lakes? Also, do you have a mailing address over in A2? We'd like to send a card or two:) Sounds like the next few days could be more difficult -- you're in our prayers. Love, Jane and Mark

  2. Dad, Glad things seem to continue to go well...although glass encased medicine seems a bit--well, shakespearian. There was an incident with glass on stage the other day. Ophelia drowns herself with a glass of water and the actress, wanting to make it seem real drowned and dropped the glass on the floor (apparently forgetting that it was a glass glass) What a mess! We are planning to come up on Saturday. We will hopefully make it as I have no idea where to go, I believe I will google for instructions as mom tends to be untrustworthy in that area. We love you.

  3. Are you sure the glass bottle wasn't "medicine" for the doctor? Did you check the label, and have you check his credentials?
Is the economy so bad that they are back to using whiskey for antiseptic?

We are looking at coming Wednesday if you are feeling up to it.

  4. You broke me down. I am now a part of your cult. A follower, so to speak. Think of you several times a day. I would also like an address for cards. Hang in there Sharen, my thoughts are with you also.

  5. We are praying for you in the far off land of ER. Keep smiling Ralph and you may never have a "sour" mouth. It also takes less energy which may be why you are doing so well. I am inspired by your incredible stamina and good humor every day.

  7. Hi Ralph & Sharon:

I am enjoying your story of the cottage. Suz thinks you have a book there. I hope your mouth is feeling better and that you are feeling good too. Well we are getting pretty close to your birthday. I would not have thought that you were 74. Actually you do not look a day over 70.
What does the hospital have planned for your birthday. Maybe a special meal and a movie, I hope it is a really great day for you.

    Love ya,

    Vinnie

  8. Hey Ralph:

I am never sure if I did something right or not. After I post it gives me this post section again. I feel like it is saying, you call that a post, do it again but get it right this time.
