Day -12

As you all know, Ralph's Lymphoma has reoccurred, so we are in the middle of his second round of chemicals. R-Chop is what he had first for the 8 months starting in April. They seemed to work but as the Lymphoma came back, we are going in with bigger guns. R-ice is what he is now getting. He had this treatment two weeks ago and he may need one more r-ice. Then it's off to Ann Arbor for a stem cell collection will happen. This will be followed by a treatment called R-beam. When this is done, the stem cells will be put back into him just like a transfusion. By day 11 they should know if the stem cells have implanted in the bone marrow and are starting to produce white cells, red cells and what is otherwise know as blood. So far Ralph has done very well with tolerating the chemotherapy and has had very few of the side effects.
