gI continue to get well and stronger Sharen and I can still tolerate each other even with 24/7 exposure so things continue to go well. My sister Laural came over today on her trip to the cemetery to clean up the plant litter and check everything. She started at our grandparents. Then our mom and dad in Kalamo I think that was the complete list. I never thought of cemetery decorations and who took care of them. One of the years that I went North with Chuck Butler for our fishing trip He mentioned how he had a long list of graves he would take flowers in the cement pots to. Now that he is gone I wonder if someone has taken over that list?
I will regale you with a story that proves how famous I was in high school we put together a singing group called the Random Brothers the three members were John Callahan, Mark Peirce and my self John could play the guitar I would pretend to play my guitar which I still don't know how to play but Mark and I could sing we would go to a lot of old folks homes and the biggest event was the maple syrup festival in Vermontville we were so proud but as I think back most of the rest of the entertainment was much better then us. The last gig we played was in the Kalamo Church mostly family members and a few friends our entertainment still wasn't that great but one song we did was the Old rugged cross and Mark said look at your Mom and she was crying this still affects me. We were not that good but it was good enough My Mom.
we continue to need prayer for continued healing and May God continue to Bless us all.

Hello again October 16 2010
Just wanted to add to my BLOG. Today is Saturday and My Sharen is with Jessica making the rescission better. I am sitting in my electric chair in my bathrobe with a warm blanket over my lap so life is tough God continues to bless us and we continue to Bless him.
Today I want to cover a serious story when I started my blog I covered the birth of Jessica and Sonya but I never wrote about My Debbie's birth. I'm not sure of the times but I remember being awake a long time waiting for the birth to take place and all the nurses were smiling and finely the time came and Debbie started to arrive but when she popped out she was completely white and only uttered one peep and nothing else. So the medical team kicked in and started emergency procedures the first step was oxygen which they started but I heard air in back of me so I turned around and found the hose not connected which I fixed as soon as I found it. Then thy tyred to listen to my babies hart with a speaker bok that would scream when it got close from feed back so I told them to turn the speaker away for the microphone so we got a weak heart beet. A quick decision was the Debbie needed blood so the nurse ran for universal blood and the Dr. called for a baby Dr. next door. I can't remember the name but when the blood got their he went for the belie button but his hand kept shaking so the first Dr. took his hand to stabilize it and the put blood in. I watched the whole thing and was surprised how much I wanted her to make it before I watched the show I thought since I had never seen the baby if she didn't make it no big deal but when she was born I watched with a horrible feeling that she might not make it. After the blood she pinked up and they sent to Bronson Neonatal unit and Sharen went to her room without our Debbie which was hard. Debbie was in the unit for 10 days I think with a bill of around $10,000 which today is a good deal. Our Deb is around 30 and has two kids and a real blessing to our life's. Take that you other 2 kids I never wrote this about you.
We continue to be blessed by all the parers we receive and by Gods guiding hand. I Pray for him to continue blessing us and you.

October 11 2010 Here comes another blog entry
What to say, my health is the same as yesterday so that's been covered. Not sure if I had talked about our new home, when it looked like I would survive Sharen and I decided we would need a single floor small home. When we bought our land many years ago we got 2 10 acre plots and built our first house on one and let the other just set now we seem to have a full forest so we made an opening and built a small house 30 by 30 with a loft over half of it's a perfect home for us and the good news is that our son in law Garett acted as a contractor and they started the house in October we moved in in April. We used the foam insulation which is very good so heating is very low cost I would recommend this type of insulation and get a son in law like Garett.
I spent my youth in Kalamo try and find it on a map that would be a good exercise some of the people were like you would expect not normal. I had a 5 mile paper rout with 30 customers which is if everybody paid on time I would get $5.00 a week which just covered my mallow cup bill. My first collection would never be complete until I get most of the collections during the week people still owe me. For one week it cost $.50 so it was hard to raise that much money I got the you need to ask my wife or husband who wasn't there at the time I collected. This was my first experience with business maters.
How sad I can't remember if I have put this in my blog but Louie Wilt and his wife Katey. Now as the story goes Louie went to medical school not sure if he completed but he learned to make an elector and started selling it with a wagon around the state not sure when the FDA shut him down but it seems he had plenty of stock as it lasted most of his life. He lasted to be 104 his wife died at 75 so maybe the elector was better then the FDA thought. there house was 1 mile from our house south Katy sold cookies and stuff at the farmers market to support the farm I always put the paper on their kitchen table and I could find cookies The rummer was it was mostly alcohol so who knows but if you used the road between his house and Belleviue when you top a hill on the other side Louie could be parked or driving 10 to 15 miles per hours with his Buick.
God continues to bless us and you to if you want it..

New blog 10-10-10
What cool date so I needed to do a new blog hope you can find this. My last blog was from awhile ago so I will try not to repeat but bring you up to date. I have had 3 bouts of C-diff which is a normal bacteria in most peoples bowels which most body's control but when you get to many Anabaptist and it kills the natural protection and it attics you when it hits your body collapses to the floor and you have lost all mussel control and I had to be lifted into the car to get to the emergency room and admired the last time for 2 weeks then Sharen got me out I had no strength but Paul and Neil were there to Carrie me in this shows how God is always there for us. After 4 weeks I am almost back to normal I can walk with my Cain and most of my strength has returned. Enough about me for now but I never get tired of talking about ME.
I would like to follow up on the Tinker brothers they would stop at the Kalamo store and I would be there as I said in the past at the end of winter the front of their bib's were completely caked with dried tobacco drool if you wanted to you could bend it and it would snap. I'm not sure why I went to their house when I got there the door was open and they were setting there with 2 pigs running around like pets and they were not cleaning the floor any better then their bib's. Something to think about they were able to support themselves with their farm with no outside help. One of the products they made was maple syrup and brought it in to trade for feed but Chuck who ran the feed mill discovered he had to much already as he had watched their process.
May God continue to bless us all.

Friday April 23 2010
Today I had PT and breakfast with friends I am sitting here thinking about what to write. I'm going to tell about Scott S. People that know me know that Scott and I work together at RS Designs and I consider Scott my best friend also I do not know anyone as good as he is with Software, That means that he is much smarter than me and fun to work with He looks like an ageing hippie but we met when I went too KVCC he was in my Calculus II class One Hundred years ago. Scott had hair down to the middle of his back and he came in 5 minutes late every day which showed a poor respect for the class and instructor. So he was off the list of people I would ever talk to or try to meet. The next class was Calculus III that is a hard class the time we were doing a very difficult part I looked back and found Scott missing for the whole week. He showed up just before the test on that section and he did very well that really made me upset how was that possible? At the end of that class somehow we went to Pappys for a get together since we had been together for so long This was the whole class but not Mel who was better then the rest of us. When we got there one brought a girl Friend that was to young to go in the back room so we moved to a cottage on a lake that night was one of my best memory's from KVCC. Scott showed up and filled the room with incredible story's and laughter the best night ever. Of course I had to realize how cool Scott was and what a fool I was but I can take it. Scott came in late in Calculus II because he had swimming just before and had talked to the professor ahead of time. When he missed a week he went to South America to help his brother who was dodging the draft, to build a house. A year latter He showed up at MTU and we started a very close friendship. We have worked together off and on from 1978 to today. This is to help show it isn't good to prejudge people.
Sharen and I are doing very well of course waiting for the other shoe to drop but I will continue to trust God for the final outcome I am capable of whining but I will continue to trust. Please continue to pray for us and may God continue to Bless us all.

Hello from Ralph and Sharen. Monday April 19 th
I'm just going to wander around for a while and see where this goes. Sharen's cold is improved she was working on our yard this morning I will have to stay weak until the yard is done. My second day on my 5 mile paper route I was coming back from the wilts which was the south end of my route I put the papers on their kitchen table some times got a cookie still unsure of the route at the half way point this dog came charging out but I wasn't concerned he was in a fence but when he hit the fence line he cleared it by a foot. So the race was on I stood up and pedaled as fast as I could and I kept a few feet ahead He seemed to stop at the end of their property which was a hike. small dogs you kick big dogs you have to out run as a paper boy you got allot of exercise.
The Wilts as I said were at the end of my south leg of the route Louie had started Med school the way the story goes he stoped school and designed medicine and made a route to deliver it sad to say he was told to stop by the FDA when they got started. Before he stoped it seems he made a large batch which lasted until he died at 104 years old. Its a good thing they stoped him or we would have been over run by old people. He had an old Buick which never got above 20 miles an hour people would have to watch for him as some times he would just stop in the road. Many story's about him but he was a good man and he made a letter writing lap desk which I still have. They made money at a farmers market with stuff made by Mrs Wilt Louie would just watch.
My mind seems to be working better but Sharen continues to remind me I am not as smart as I was that must be a wife's job to judge. Things continue to be well we have to go to Ann Arbor once a week for testing and give me a chance to see my old nurses. They do blood work we see the Doctor he scolds me about falling. If I need blood they do it and then I sit for 4 hours getting ECP then home by 6:00. I moved my PT to Kalamazoo twice a week. God continues to bless us beyond believe not sure how this will end but it is in Gods hands.

April 17th and the living is easy
Sharen and I continue to enjoy our new house , Sharen has reachieved a cold from somewhere and is not up to babying me so I have to do things on my own. How far the great has fallen I have to make my own coffee, and get up and find books on my own etc. I continue to feel weak but I am feeling very good. I got to take a header trying to bring my breakfast and a fresh cup of coffee to my favorite chair my head did a triple bounce on the left frontal lob which wouldn't be to bad but I ended up laying in my coffee and sugar flakes. Sharen had to get out of her sick bed and get me standing someday I should make a video of this operation and post it to help other people but that will be a distance in the future.
I am from a very small town in Michigan called Kalamo. When I was a in filth grad I got a paper route it was 5 miles long and memory tells me I had 30 customers, If everyone payed I would make $5.00 per week but everyone would never pay so I would continue to try to collect during the week. You must get enough money to pay for the papers by Tuesday which was $10.00 and what was left was mine or $5.00. I had to run a bill at the Kalamo store to help pay for my mallow cups that was a good investment if anyone remembers mallow cups came with a money card which entitled you to bye mallow cups. There wasn't a barrel stove in the store but that would have fit perfectly when I got to the store I was half way around my route so I would stop and shoot the bull for a while to see what was going. Interesting people I met were the Tinker Brothers they would come to Town every few weeks in an early ford could be a model B but not sure. The boys were not married and from the looks of them they would change there bibs once a year. So they would sit in front of a heat source and chew tobacco all winter and toward spring they would come into the store and the front of there bibs were stiff with tobacco drool there face and beard were packed full of the same tobacco also there was an Oder that would require opening the door when they left for clean air. From my memory I think they were strong Democrats and people enjoyed making political fun when they were around they had developed interesting language skills could there be a more perfect place for a young man to spend time.
Please continue to pray for us and may God continue to bless us all.

April forth how is this posable I noded off end of Dec opened eyes and its April
Not sure how to start this I will wander around for awhile to help fill in the blanks. We had an appointment last Thursday but they checked me out and put me in the hospital. They think I have an infection in my blood so they are filling me with bags of chemicals and how I feel it could be working. I could get out Monday or Tuesday. I requested by Tuesday afternoon so we can get to Scott Noethe's funeral. when I heard he was killed it was like blow to my stomach. It was a good funeral with a meal served after for family and Friends get together.
Looks like they fixed the infection so I am feeling better. Sharen and I have moved into our new house its very nice right in the middle of a forest that wasn't there when we got the land many years ago.
May God continue to bless us and keep praying for us.
